2005 Allandale Winery Semillon

Allandale Semillons are rapidly becoming a benchmark for the Hunter Valley. Awards such as "Top 5 in Australia and New Zealand" in Winestate Magazine, "Best Semillon" at the Perth Wine Show and "Best in Australia" by boutique wines are testimony to the high quality of recent vintages. Crafted in the traditional Hunter Valley Style. This Semillon is no exception. As a young wine it has lifted varietal characters of citrus, mown grass, capsicum and goosberry which will develop into more complex honey/toast character over time

The 2005 Semillon is a beautifully structured wine with both length and persistence. It is an ideal accompaniment to seafood, particularly fresh shucked oysters, and all white meats.
