spice, anise and Christmas cake. One of the best vintages yet.

Awards

  • 91 Points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Dec. 2006
"This Franklin River producer presented an impressive portfolio...The 2004 'King' Malbec can compete with many of the best from Argentina. Its impressive purple color is followed by blue and black berry aromas with a hint of spice. This pure wine has outstanding depth and concentration and a 40+ second finish. It can be drunk now, particularly if paired with a dry-aged rib eye, but will be even better in 4-6 years."
  • Very Highly Commended - 2005 Australian Alternative Wine Show
