Appearance
Bright crimson.
Nose
Lifted aromas of musk, crushed berries, ripe black plums and anise,
with hints of pepper, lifted oak and raspberry.
Palate
A mass of berry fruits, mulberry and raspberry, complemented by the
restraint and aromaticity of Viognier. A fleshy palate finishes
with length of fruit, long fine tannin and French oak.
Cellaring
Drink now to 5 years.
Winemaker’s Comments
Co-fermentation of shiraz with viognier is a style popularised in
the Rhone Valley of France for it’s ability to add aromatic
high notes, a savoury edge and a restrained palate, making it an
ideal blend for meals.
