April 25, 2008 For immediate release: Total Beverage Solution announced today that with immediate effect, it has acquired the import rights to Czech Rebel, BB Burgerbrau and Havlicek from Classic Beverages. This has been an amicable transaction that reflects Classic Beverage’s exit of the imported beer business. While much of the major Czech breweries have been purchased by the major multinational breweries, these breweries are still domestically and independently owned. “With this addition, TBS’ pro forma beer volumes should exceed 500,000 case equivalents, which is half way to our longer term goal of getting to 1 million cases of beer that we supply to the marketplace,” commented TBS president Dave Pardus. “TBS can now offer our customers some of the finest beers from the UK (Greene King Brewery), Germany/Bavaria (Weihenstephan), US (Shipyard/Sea Dog) and now the Czech Republic (Rebel, BB Burgerbrau). We will seek to continue to add brands from the better beer markets that we are currently not representing,” he adds. TBS has a growing portfolio of premium products in the beer, wine, and spirits categories of the beverage alcohol industry. In addition to the brands secured in this transaction, TBS imports and markets brands that include: Old Speckled Hen, Weihenstephan Brewery, Shipyard Brewing, Edradour Distillery, Tullibardine Distillery, Tohu Wines, Cockatoo Ridge, Ferngrove, Tahbilk, Two Paddocks and Magnotta Ice Wines. Total Beverage Solution was founded in 2002, and its mission is to be a preferred beverage alcohol supplier for the US market. The company seeks brands that have market presence, but are not large enough to be targets of the big multinationals. TBS seeks to place those brands strategically with distributors market by market in the challenging beverage alcohol distribution system. Revenues for 2008 are anticipated to exceed $13,000,000.
