Total Beverage Solution (TBS) announced today it had completed the acquisition of distribution
representation rights to a number of brands, including Old Speckled Hen from Greene King
Brewing, PLC, a leading English Ale producer. In addition TBS has also acquired distribution
representation rights in a number of markets outside of New England and Florida across
the United States for the hand-crafted ales of The Shipyard Brewing Company, a leading
Craft Beer producer based in Portland, Maine. TBS acquired the rights from East Coast Beverage
Corp., a Massachusetts based company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to represent these breweries as both have high quality premium brands
that have strong growth potential. These brands will add over 100,000 cases of beer volume
to our growing portfolio”, commented TBS Chief Executive Officer Dave Pardus.
Total Beverage Solution commenced operations in 2002, and its mission is to be a preferred
beverage alcohol supplier for the US market. The company seeks brands that have market
presence, but are not large enough to be targets of the big multinationals. TBS seeks to
place those brands strategically with distributors market by market in the challenging
beverage alcohol distribution system. TBS’ portfolio largely replicates the beverage
alcohol industry with 50% of the company’s business coming from the beer category,
33% spirits, and 17% wine.
Post acquisition pro forma 12 month revenues will exceed 5 million for the company. “We
plan to continue our aggressive growth goals through organic growth, as well as additional
strategic acquisitions” said Pardus.
