Beer, wine and sprits importer ranks #196 with 3-year growth rate
MOUNT PLEASANT, South Carolina, September 30, 2006 -- Total Beverage Solution, LLC, ranks #196 out of 500 in Inc. Magazine’s annual ranking of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies (September, 2006). Launched in late 2001 by beverage alcohol industry veteran Dave Pardus, Total Beverage Solution (TBS) imports and manages US sales and marketing of beer, wine and spirits brands from Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand. 2006 revenues are anticipated to break the $10MM mark. Pardus, whose beverage background includes ten years as director of US sales for Guinness Brewing, identified a niche in the import business for brands with potential in the US market but with sales that were too small to catch the eye of the big multinational companies. TBS’s growing portfolio includes brands such as Bavarian beer Weinstephan, from the world’s oldest brewery, Britan’s famed ale, Old Speckled Hen, Scotland’s smallest distillery, Edradour, and producers of the world’s most awards winning ice wine, Canada’s Magnotta Winery. In April of this year, Total Beverage Solution acquired Davies and Co., importers of premium wines from Australia and New Zealand including brands such as Tohu and Cockatoo Ridge. This acquisition boosted the company’s wine sales to over 50,000 cases annually. Beer sales are projected to reach 350,000 cases and spirits to top 10,000 cases annually. “This recognition is a shot in the arm for our team that has been working so hard to build our business nationwide,” commented Pardus.
