TBS Featured as Top 100 Beverage Company in United States

 MT. PLEASANT, SC (July 20, 2010) – Total Beverage Solution (TBS), an importer based in Mt. Pleasant, SC, joined other notable businesses, including The Coca-Cola Company, Anheuser Busch InBev, Heineken NV, SAB Miller PLC, Nestlé SA, and Diageo PLC, in the list compiled by Beverage Industry ranking American and overseas beverage companies in order of their 2009 sales. The smaller, private company ranked 96 out of 100 on the list, dominated by publicly traded corporations. During another challenging year for the beverage industry, TBS reported sales of $22 million in 2009. In order to make the list, a business had to generate at least $20 million in global net beverage sales last year, which is up $13 million from 2008.

Founded in 2002, the company’s first sizeable supply contract was Greene King brewery, the producers of Old Speckled Hen and Abbot Ale. Today the portfolio includes such brands as Germany’s Weihenstephan Beer - the world’s oldest brewery; Birra Moretti, The most desired beer in Italy; Tohu Wines from the Marlborough region of New Zealand – the only Maori-owned wine company; and Edradour Distillery – Scotland’s smallest distillery. Additionally, the company has acquired a number of brands and trademarks which the company now owns to include Tiziano, Altanuta, Colombo, all of which are Italian wine brands, and Big Red Monster and The Blonde Bombshell from California.
