Total Beverage Solution announced today it has closed on acquiring
the import rights to Weihenstephan, a Bavarian beer brand from
Bavaria House, a North Carolina corporation. In conjunction with
the acquisition, Total Beverage Solution signed a ten-year supply
agreement with Brayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, the producers
of the Weihenstephan product line.
“This acquisition gives us much-needed additional volume
and revenue to enable us to start building a dedicated field sales
organization to help promote Weihenstephan, along with our existing
portfolio of brands”, commented TBS President Dave Pardus. “Our
beer portfolio will exceed 300,000 case equivalents in 2006, which
will be our second full year of operating in the beer category.”
TBS has a growing portfolio of premium products in the beer, wine,
and spirit categories of the beverage alcohol industry. It imports
and markets brands to include: Old Speckled Hen, Shipyard Brewing,
Signatory Vintage Whisky Company, Edradour Distillery, Kemblefield
Estate Winery, and Magnotta Ice Wines.
Total Beverage Solution was founded in 2002, and its mission is
to be a preferred beverage alcohol supplier for the US market.
The company seeks brands that have market presence, but are not
large enough to be targets of the big multinationals. TBS seeks
to place those brands strategically with distributors market by
market in the challenging beverage alcohol distribution system.
Pro forma revenues for 2006 are anticipated to exceed $7,000,000.
