Tullibardine Vintage 1991

Described as unusually sweet showing what influence the cask has to the finished product. This is a pale but delicious fruity malt whisky – the addition of water releases more fruitiness, oils and citrus tones.

Tullibardine Vintage 1988
70cl – vatted bottling
ABV 46%
The Quincentennial malt celebrating the 500th Anniversary of King James IV’s coronation.

The 1988 is a light, refreshing malt that exhibits all the quaffable characteristics of the Tullibardine family of single malts. With hints of vanilla on the nose and white chocolate in the finish, this is a well-mannered malt; an easy going whisky that’s simply a pleasure to drink.

Tullibardine Vintage 1987 – John Black’s Selection 2
70cl – Single Cask Bottling
Cask strength - ABV 57.2%
Nose: seemingly sherried at first, tawny colours, tawny freshness. Followed by sweet, Terry’s, tangerine, and with time nose prickling develops. Has good depth. Taste is potent - wood resins, pith, oily, nutty woody. Fragrant, soft, cooking chocolate, orange juice.

With water the taste remains quite oily - it is very pleasant, becoming bitter and has a mouth drying finish. Perhaps better without water as long as you are able to bear the strength.

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 – John Black’s Selection 3
70cl – Single Cask Bottling
Cask strength - ABV 57.7%
This is something a little different coming from an ex sherry barrel, specially chosen by John to commemorate his 65th birthday and his 50th year in the industry!

Nose: walnuts and almonds are in evidence at the start with a big helping of and all-spice. Upon opening up fully lots of honey and barley sugar aromas come to the fore. Enticing!

Taste: rich and mellow. Stewed soft fruits combine with strong grape like flavours. The pronounced sherry character develops and this marries well with the creamy vanilla element. On the finish there are distinctive crème caramel and butterscotch flavours.

A unique expression from a very unusual and unique cask. The combination of the american bourbon oak with the ex sherry matured element, make for an amazing series of flavours. Good length with well balanced acidity. Mellow tannins make this a pleasure to drink!

“good health”.

Tullibardine Vintage 1975
70cl – single cask bottling
Cask strength – ABV 52.7%
A deep gold colour with traces of amber. A really promising nose – marzipan, Crème Anglaise in choux pastry, touches of butterscotch, sweet scented flower buds. The palate is strong and full bodied – vanilla, dried fruits, dark chocolate, orange bitters – with a touch of spice, and a long drying finish.

 A fine example of Tullibardine.

Tullibardine Vintage 1966 – World Cup Edition

Tullibardine Vintage 1966

Tullibardine Vintage 1965
70cl – single cask bottling
Cask strength – ABV 48.3%
With a lovely deep magenta colour this malt from a sherry hogshead is big-bodied, smooth and quite ethereal. Rich and fragrant on the nose – almond oil, ratafia biscuits and floral perfume – and gently chewy with dried fruit flavours on the palate and a good balance of primary tastes.

Wonderfully intense and concentrated – an unusual whisky – one for the connoisseur.

Tullibardine Vintage 1964
70cl – single cask bottling
Cask strength – ABV 43.4%
A malt of masterful proportion, the 1964 has a depth and character that will have you toasting the artistry of our master distiller.

Rich and fragrant on the nose, with a quite delectable sweetness – and no trace of wood – the 1964 has a power that never overwhelms; the light Tullibardine touch sees to that.

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Marsala Wood Finish
70cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked into a Marsala cask for approx. 1 year after careful monitoring by the Distillery Manager.

The Marsala has been described as “a Marsala/Fortified Wine drinkers ticket to Single Malt Scotch Whisky with a long lasting flavour and interesting finish”. Fresh with hints of butterscotch, peardrops and honey on the nose, and to taste very soft yet spicy with touches of cinnamon and pine needles.

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Moscatel Wood Finish
70cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked into a Moscatel cask for only 5 months, this was at all times carefully monitoring by the Distillery Manager.

The Moscatel has been described as a very exciting and unusual bottling of fabulous colour and easy, soft flavours. Medium bodied, sweet and winey nose. Soft, fruity and chewy taste with a long, floral and raisiny with a tang of lemons finish.

Moscatel comes from the Muscat grape – a small type of grape that can be very sweet and aromatic. It is also a common name for several varieties of rich sweet wine.

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Port Wood Finish
70cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked into a ‘port pipe’, it was carefully monitored for 11 months before bottling.

This is described as having a distinctive grapiness at first with a rich wine/port flavour. Yet seemingly light with woody notes. Sweet with wood raisin, citrus’s then lingering well through the tongue towards the back to deliver some spicy notes and more citrus.

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Rum Wood Finish
7cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 was re-casked into a Rum cask for 9 months, being constantly monitored prior to bottling.

Light, golden in colour with light sweetness, sugar cane to the nose. Undiluted it tastes of honeysuckle and orange citrus, even rose water. The rum sweetness and Tullibardine characters are released with a dash of water. It offers a long lasting finish. The 1993 is enhanced by the additional maturation in Rum which brings multi-dimensional flavours.

Serve with a warm or chilled dessert – bread and butter or sticky toffee puddings even ice cream!

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Sauterne Wood Finish
70cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked in a Sauterne cask and after careful monitoring for 8 months it was bottled as another addition to our wood finish range.

A deep yellow gold colour with a plummy, sweet, Mirabelle fruit, chilled fresh fruit salad note with traces of orange citrus. The taste is smooth and oily, the texture is round and fruity. A dessert time dram and a very nice one at that!

With a few drops of water the story only gets better, from very good to really exceptional - the sweet wine plumminess becomes volatile and brings an incredible, lasting finish.

A cracker!

Tullibardine Vintage 1993 Sherry Wood Finish
70cl – single cask bottling
ABV 46%
Specially selected 1993 spirit was re-casked into an ‘Oloroso’ sherry cask for about 18 months and carefully monitored by the Distillery Manager prior to bottling.

Described as having a deep amber colour with a toffee, butterscotch and vanilla sweetness nose but when water is added a fruity and sweetly fragrance is released. A dry and fresh, mouth drying and spicy taste which when water is added gives a nuttiness to the taste. Perfect with or without water – indeed a very drinkable dram!
