History of Blanco Tequila (Organic)

Over 75 years ago Enrique Partida Zepeda, one of the ""Godfather's"" of tequila, was born into a farming family. Enrique joined the clan of Salvador Rivera Lizardi, another prominent local farmer. Together, as Agaveros Unidos, they fostered the family heritage in the production of their premium tequilas. To this day, the families continue growing and harvesting premium Weber Blue Agave with the traditional practices of their ancestors. Agaveros Unidos grows and harvests the agave used in our estate-crafted Azuñia tequilas on dedicated fields at that base of the Volcán de Tequila. Nestled in the Tequila Valley is Rancho Miravalle, our working farm, and distillery. On this fertile volcanic soil and sustained by the on-property well water source, our tequila begins its life as agave. Blessed with this natural resource and the family's multi-generational commitment to sustaining the soil and fields is the heart and soul of the Azuñia experience. Sitting prominently on the slopes of Volcán de Tequila, is the historic hacienda, Sandovales. Built in 1821 and acquired by Agaveros Unidos for Rancho Miravalle, Sandovales became a centerpiece for the family. Still today, it is where we gather to honor our past, celebrate the present, and toast the future.
