Tasting Notes

The Cuvée Jeanne has a salmon-pink color and is a subtle wine. At first taste, one will observe its clear and limpid dress. This dry wine is fruity, long in mouth and delicate at the end, possessing a great femininity. Red fruit dominate the tasting.

Vinification: The Cuvée Jeanne is part of the “Rosé d’exception” with regards to the care taken of the vine in order to obtain a healthy grape which reaches full and perfect maturation, as well as with regards to the wine-making process, which is carried out in small quantities, and is carefully monitored throughout every stage of the “fermentation à froid” process in order to ensure that the maximum savour is extracted from the grape.
Food Pairing: Seafood's like octopus, fish, shell fish, etc. White meats and light pasta dishes. It is also great as an aperitif

History of Cotes de Provence Cuvée Jeanne Rosé

Chateau Castel Des Maures is a small vineyard located in Hyeres, a small Mediterranean town, on the slopes of the Valley Sauvebonne along the edge of the Maures forest. The domain itself consists of 5.71 acres of vineyards of different grapes separated by a row of olive trees. It spreads across Cotes de Provence Appellation, the largest Provence appellation. With a certain diversity of soils, the whole area is under typical Mediterranean climate typical of Provence.
