Aromatic bouquet of red cherries that compliment the undertones of dry fruit and hints of violets. Fresh on the palate, this wine displays excellent acid structure. Well-balanced, silky elegant tannins evolve throughout the finish.
History of Chianti 2018
Mild winter and spring temperatures were the basis for good budding and flowering. No frosts. Sporadic, enduring rains during June refilled the ground with enough humidity to get the vines through periods of uninterrupted sunny and dry months. A large and healthy harvest mid September with good phenolic ripeness but restricted alcohol was the result. A vintage we wished we had more in these years after climate change. Wines easy to drink, not over extracted - "classic" Chianti
