History of McW 660 Reserve Hilltops Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
After one of the wettest winters on record the growing season followed up with a cool spring & a warm summer. This resulted in healthy vines with robust canopies and moderate yields. The harvest period was then 2 weeks behind average. This slightly later harvest allowed the fruit to mature to full flavor ripeness in cooler conditions. This has resulted in fantastic wines with vibrant flavors, balanced acid and gentle tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was one of the highlights of the season with vibrant varietal character and velvety tannins.
