History of Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera

Jean Bouton, descended of a family of French distillers, opened a distillery in Bologna, Italy due to its soil reminicent of his home land, the land of Cognac. Vecchia Romagna is produced for the first time in 1939. “The Town of Brandy” with over 180,000 m2 for Vecchia Romagna aging and production is established in San Lazzaro di Savena (close to Bologna) in 1970.
