Total Beverage Solution is a leading importer and supplier of wine, beer, and spirits in the United States. Based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, the company has built a reputation for excellence over the years, thanks in no small part to its talented team.
In a world where recognition often feels fleeting, it’s essential to pause and celebrate those who embody excellence in their endeavors. Today, we are proud to announce Mikayla McKie has been selected as the 2023 First Class Award recipient, a shining example of dedication, talent, and commitment. Mikayla has been with TBS since 2022, and in that short time has led the company to success as the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager.
The “First Class Award” is presented annually by TBS and identifies the employee as someone who displays a positive work ethic and team-oriented attitude and is someone you would bring with you if you were starting a new business tomorrow. The award is selected by the employee’s coworkers. The title comes with a $1,000 prize as well as a matching donation to a non-profit charity of the winner’s choice. This year Mikayla has chosen the Warrior Surf Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans cope with PTSD and trauma through surfing therapy.
The Warrior Surf Foundation holds a special place in Mikayla’s heart, as she deeply resonates with their mission to provide healing and support to those who have bravely served their country. She noted, “I chose Warrior Surf Foundation because it combines two things I love – surfing and supporting our veterans! I discovered Warrior Surf Foundation by volunteering at their event, Yoga on the Yorktown, when I first moved to Charleston and was so moved by hearing some of the participants’ stories and the progress they had made from participating in the WSF clinics. Since moving here, I have had a few veteran friends participate in their sessions and was able to first-hand see the impact that it has. I love that this organization provides something to veterans that they can continue to do on their own after the clinic, and also join a community and make friends to have alongside them throughout their lives.”
Congratulations, Mikayla McKie, on your outstanding achievement and your commitment to the organization. Your hard work and dedication pave the way for others to follow in your footsteps of excellence.
