El Luchador Tequila History
INSPIRED BY THE FAMED MASKED WRESTLERS OF MEXCIO, Tequilero David Ravandi has created El Luchador, a unique, artisanal portfolio of outstanding tequila expressions: Blanco, Reposado and Anejo, and still strength Blanco.
Since his entrée into the artisanal tequila business in the mid-1990s, David Ravandi has ushered several brands to international success. His El Luchador portfolio was inspired by the instantly recognizable-masks and the acrobatic showmanship of Mexicos’ colorful Lucha Libre wrestlers. The connection between tequila and Lucha Libre – two of Mexico’s most treasured cultural institutions – represents a long standing tradition, one that inspired El Luchador.
8 Year old estate owned agave is grown at 6500 ft in the Los Altos Region of Jalisco.
The agaves are cooked, naturally fermented and double distilled. The aged expressions, Reposado and Añejo are aged in Puligny Montrachet barrels for a period of time allowing those beautiful wine notes to be paired with fresh agave hints making for a delightful tasting experience on the entire portfolio.
