Charleston, SC: Total Beverage Solution, a leading U.S. importer and marketer of premium beer, wine, and spirits brands from around the world, has named Scott Chandler as its new Chief Financial Officer. With more than 20 years of global finance and operational leadership experience in the food & beverage industry, Scott brings a proven track record of driving growth and excellence across established and emerging brands.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he began his career serving in the Navy before spending 14 years at General Mills in a range of different domestic and international finance roles. For the past decade, he served as CFO at Spindrift Beverage Co., helping guide the brand from a small start-up to a nationally recognized name.
Known as a dynamic leader during time of change, Scott has built a reputation for expanding team capabilities, fostering collaboration across all levels of an organization, and establishing effective partnerships with business leaders in the sector to accelerate results. His past experiences will assist him in guiding TBS through this next stage of growth.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the team at TBS and to work with their portfolio of world class brands,” explained Scott.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Scott to the TBS team,” said Dave Pardus, Chief Executive Officer. “His decade at Spindrift helping that business scale rapidly is the experience we were seeking for our next chapter. TBS has grown at a compounded 25% rate since 2020, and our aspiration is to maintain or accelerate that growth rate for the rest of the decade. That will require strong brands and top talent like Scott given the challenging industry macro trends.”
Sam Grizzle, who has helped establish TBS as a leading importer of wine, beer, and spirits while serving as CFO since the company’s inception in 2002, will stay on through the balance of the year to facilitate a smooth transition as Scott and his family relocate to the company’s headquarters in Charleston, SC. We want to thank Sam for his steadfast support and guidance over more than 20 years.
