John Duval is one of Australia’s most highly regarded winemakers. Raised on a South Australian farm with three generations of grape growers before him, his vinous path was fated. Following a career spanning 30 years at the pinnacle of Australian winemaking at Penfolds, and with knowledge handed down through generations, John Duval established his own label in 2002.
Inspired by the Barossa Valley’s low-yielding, old vine vineyards, John crafts intense, focused wines that are as distinctive as the region’s diverse terroir. Ahead of the 2016 vintage, John Duval Wines welcomed a second generation as eldest son Tim joined the family wine business working alongside his father.
