Total Beverage Solution CEO, Dave Pardus, is proud to announce that he will be participating in his 15th Marathon on behalf of Team End ALZ at the 127th Boston Marathon. Team End ALZ is dedicated to raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s research and support.
Dave began running marathons in 1986, and 36 years later, he is proud to commemorate his career with one final run in honor of his mother, who passed in April 2022, on the day of the Boston Marathon, after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s. “My mother was amazing in every sense and was a very intentional person, so the irony of her passing on the morning of the 2022 Boston Marathon was not lost on me. I spent the day cheering on the runners and waiting for my sister, who ran without knowing my mom had passed. I felt her presence and very clear instructions that I needed to be at the start line in April 2023 to honor the first anniversary of her passing. ”
“I’m honored to be a part of Team End ALZ and to have the opportunity to help make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s,” said Dave. Running alongside him is his younger sister Sue, his oldest daughter, Elysse, and niece and nephew, Chris and Taylor. “Having the kids run with us is so special, being their first marathon and with the realization that they will likely be the first generation to fully benefit from everyone’s work to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.” Dave is backed by the support of his friends, family, colleagues, and especially his wife Jayne, who happens to be a world-ranked Women’s Senior Amateur golfer in her own right.
Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease affecting millions of families worldwide, and Dave is committed to doing his part to help find a cure. By participating in the Marathon, he hopes to raise both awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research and support.
