I’m going to cut to the chase with this final report of the annum summarizing Australia’s best wine values of 2011. There’s been a massive culling of extraneous wines from Australia’s value offerings in the last couple of years.... Rolf Binder, Barossa Valley No newcomer to the Barossa, Rolf Binder has recently expanded production and depth of offerings without compromising on quality. The recent 2009 and 2010 releases of Hales Shiraz and Halcyon Cabernet Merlot are true Barossa wines, displaying authenticity with plenty of character, complexity and structure with a modest US$17 price tag. These are well worth stocking-up.
