How long have you been working for TBS?
I celebrated my 4-year work anniversary on August 4th 2018.
What is your title?
Wine & Spirit Market Manager – New York/Connecticut
And what do you do in that role?
I manage the sales and distribution of our TBS Wine & Spirits portfolio in the New York & Connecticut markets.
What is a day at TBS like in your shoes?
Creating a smart business plan is essential and executing that plan with our distributor partners is key. Also working the market with their sales teams, leading with brand education and selling is a priority.
Tell us a little about yourself:
I am a native Jersey girl but consider myself a New Yorker at heart. Throughout my career I’ve spent a great deal of time in NYC and both my Mom & Dad are from the Empire State! I have always worked in the supplier channel of our industry with an emphasis in sales/marketing and education of luxury brands. I hold a Higher Certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators.
Favorite drink?
Amaro Montenegro on the rocks is my go-to, but when I’m not sipping Monte, I always have a chilled bottle of Champagne in my wine fridge! My motto is,
“There is always something to celebrate!”
What do you like best about working at TBS?
The team & portfolio! I feel very blessed to be working with such an amazing team and also representing our premium wine & spirits portfolio! Leadership, vision and aligned goals allow for growth and opportunity.
What is one thing at work you can’t do without?
I know this is two, but my cell phone and laptop are one in the same for me and I can’t function without either!
Favorite place to travel?
Our recent 2018 TBS trip to New Zealand was very special, visiting our winery supplier KONO Beverages. They produce both KONO and TOHU wines (among other products). The core values of this Maori owned company I really respect and connect with. Guardians of their land, honoring their ancestors and culture was truly moving. A beautiful country!
Also I love Italy, I always feel so at home whenever I go. For me, travel is the gateway to connect and learn, any opportunity to do so, I’m ready!
Describe your perfect meal:
I love to cook so my perfect meal would be shared with family and friends gathered around my table.
Any charity near and dear to your heart?
Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen, and the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation are all very important to me. Every year I participate in several charity events to support and raise money for these organizations. Together we are stronger in fighting and finding a cure for cancer!
What do you do in your free time?
In my spare time I love to be outdoors! When I’m not in New York (depending on the season) you will find me hiking or skiing in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Also I LOVE Spin & Pilates and both are part of my weekly regimen.
Favorite pizza topping?
Margarita – tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella & basil!
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Therapy!
Best advice you ever received?
From my very wise & beautiful Mom, “Now or never.” Simple but so true…
